- My Resources>>Lists>>Create Mailing List

The parameters required to be passed:

- E-Mail Address :
The email where list subscribers can email to subscribe.

- Subscribers Reply To:
Whether the Mailing Lists Subscribers can subscribe to Entire List/Sender or can post to moderator.

- Posting Mode:
Allows if anyone can post to list, only members or if the list is password protected.

- Posting Password:
If the List is password protected, the required password can be set here.

- Moderation is Enabled:
If the Mailing List is controlled by Moderator.

- Moderation is Enabled:

Mailing List Members:
- Email address of the subscribers can be added or will be populated with subscriptions.

How to subscribe to a LIST:
- User should send an email message with the key word "subscribe".
- A confirmation will be received to be confirmed with confirmation code.
- Members can unsubscribe using the keyword "unsubscribe" in the subject of the email.

How a Password protected list works?
- Password protected lists forces subscribers to place a password in the subject.
- Password should appear at the start of the subject.
- It should be [: and :] delimiters.
- For example, [:EcU7:]Welcome to the list.
- Our Mailserver will remove '[:EcU7:]' from the subject automatically (if EcU7 is your maillist password).

Moderated List function:
- The message is sent to a moderated list, our mail server ensures if the sender's address is the same as moderator's.
- If it is same , the message will be forwarded to the members of the mailing list.
- If it is not same, the message will be sent to the moderator's address.
- The moderator has the option to edit the message and can forwardf the message to the List.

Difference between Groups and List:
- A group with the address GroupNameHere@YourDomainName.com could contain an array of other addresses. If anyone sends a message to the groups address, the message is automatically delivered to all the members of the group. People can only become a member of a group if the Mail Administrator adds them as a member.

In case of Mailing Lists, Moderator has the full control to publish to the list. Messages sent to the list by Moderator, will be distributed to members of the list.

you have 3000 MB (3 GB) for html+aspx+gif+dll+SQL+mail... in total.

Go to Top

Pre-sales Questions

Can I recover my website or database from your backups?
We perform full system backups daily and keep the copies for 7-10 days. We save all databases and files of your website. We also perform mail backups weekly.
If necessary, we can look in our backups to retrieve your website files and databases, however we would charge some fees to perform the search and files
recovery.
Please note: We can't guarantee that the files that we recover are the most recent version of your website.
Good practice: A customer should maintain backups of his/her own website on his/her own computer.

Domains

How do I transfer my domain name to your servers?

It depends on your domain name registrar. You should have been given an username and password when your domain name was first registered. You will need to use this username and password in order to make any changes to your domain name information. Please go to the website of your registrar and update your domain record (this is generally accomplished in the registrar's "Modify Domain" or "Change DNS Info" section). The information that needs to be changed is called either "DNS Information" or "Nameserver information" depending on your registrar. You should specify DotNetPark's name servers there. (Please read 'What are DotnetPark.com domain name servers?' article )

Once you've updated and saved your information with your registrar, you're done! It generally takes between 12 and 48 hours for your records to be updated.

Remember that during this time you can upload your files to your account on our server using FTP and temporary URL so that your site will be immediately
viewable as soon as the domain transfer takes effect.
Please send an e-mail to support@dotnetpark.com if you have any problems or questions concerning your domain transfer.

DotNetPark does not have the authority to update your domain name's information. Only the domain owner has the authority to make such changes.

Which folder do I upload my files to?

When using an FTP client to upload your files, you should upload your files to the folder named "wwwroot". You can create subdirectories under this folder if you wish. Files that you upload into the "wwwroot" folder can be viewed on the main level of your domain name. This means that if you upload a webpage called "MyCV.html" into the "wwwroot" folder, you can view it in a browser by typing http://www.yourdomain.com/MyCV.html into the address bar of a web browser.
